Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

Letters of Recommendation (LOR):

• Two teacher evaluations are required.
• Ask two teachers from different academic subjects who know you well to complete the Teacher Recommendation forms. This includes an evaluation form and a letter of recommendation.

Essays:

A personal essay is required. Here are the essay topics you can choose from:

• Share a story about a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful, you believe your application would be incomplete without it.
• Discuss a challenge, setback, or failure you have faced. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
• Reflect on a time when you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?
• Describe something someone did for you that made you happy or thankful in a surprising way. How did this gratitude affect or motivate you?
• Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that led to personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others.
• Describe a topic, idea, or concept you find so engaging that you lose track of time. Why does it captivate you? Whom do you turn to when you want to learn more?
• Share an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one you have already written, one that responds to a different prompt, or one of your own design.
