The Automotive Engineering program is the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science's only approved program of its kind in Canada that trains engineers to cater to the developmental needs in Automotive Engineering by promoting the development and improvement of alternative technologies such as hybrid and fuel-cell-driven vehicles. The program offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) and Bachelor of Engineering and Management (Honors) are full-time degrees.
The Master of Applied Science (MASc) and Master of Engineering (MEng) programs in Automotive Engineering provide students with an in-depth understanding of advanced automotive technology and processes. MASc is a thesis-based course, while MEng is either a course-based course or a major project-based course. These graduate programs allow students to study all the major areas associated with automotive systems that include scientific principles, techniques of analysis and methodologies of design.
Students with undergraduate degrees in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or other engineering or science fields are eligible for these courses. The multidisciplinary complexity of automotive systems, spanning from engineering to electrical power/control systems and others, gives students the opportunity to gain broad exposure at an advanced graduate level in different disciplines.

The Electrical Engineering program focuses on how electrical elements are incorporated into complex systems. Students have the option to choose Smart Grid as their specialization.
The Master of Applied Science (MASc) and Master of Engineering (MEng) programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering allow a student to study the major areas in electrical, computer and software systems engineering.
These areas include:
The aim of the Electrical and Computer Engineering PhD program is to provide students with the highest level of knowledge and scholarship in their field of expertise.
A combination of advanced coursework, independent research, research lectures, compulsory professional conferences, conference presentations, refereed research publications and a new research thesis would allow PhD students to receive their degree.

The Mechanical Engineering program deals with mechanical engineering principles—motion, energy, and strength—and how these principles are used to design and build the world around us. There are options to specialize in energy engineering or pursue a comprehensive Bachelor Engineering (Honours) degree in the first year and then switch to another engineering programme in the second year.
The master's programs in Mechanical Engineering allow students to study all the main areas associated with mechanical engineering. However, the programs include three primary research fields which students can concentrate on.
The students will get to discuss key potential technical areas that employers expect to be in high demand: Design; Energy and Thermofluids Engineering; and Mechatronics and Manufacturing Engineering.
The PhD program in Mechanical Engineering prepares graduates for a career in research, industry, government and/or teaching.
List of Labs
The Mechatronics Engineering program offered by the university is an interdisciplinary one . This combines mechanical and electrical systems with real-time control and integrates hardware with software to produce new devices like consumer products, medical devices, automotive high-tech systems and robots.
It offers Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) and Bachelor of Engineering and Management (Honors) programs. The Bachelor of Engineering and Management (Honors) is of 5 years.
List of Labs -
The Software Engineering program focuses on evaluating, designing, creating and testing reliable and stable software systems; incorporating computers into complex systems; and delivering software systems that meet changing requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
The program follows the concepts of computer science as well as engineering. Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) and Bachelor of Engineering and Management (Honors) are the courses offered in this program.

1. The Faculty of Science's Physics program benefits from access to cutting-edge renewable energy, semiconductor devices, microelectronics, nanotechnology, materials science, biophysics, computational physics, and astrophysics research. Students may study through the Honors Physics Program or choose to specialize in one of the following fields: Astrophysics; Energy and Environmental Physics and Science and Management. It offers Bachelor of Science (Honors) and Bachelor of Science and Management (Honors). Combining a degree in science with training in business and management would give students an added advantage in setting up jobs in these practical fields.
2. The Computer Science Program discusses a wide range of computing concepts including data structures, modeling, information analysis, interfaces between people and machines, code design, coding, artificial intelligence, databases, data analytics, machine vision, and more. One can pursue studies in Honors Computer Science program or choose to specialize in one of the following areas: Data Science; Digital Media; Science and Management. The Master of Science (MSc) and Doctoral degrees are the graduate programs offered by the Computer Science department.
3. The Chemistry program exposes students to all the major fields of chemistry: physical, analytical, organic, inorganic and chemical biology. Undergraduates can pursue studies through the Honors Chemistry program, or choose to specialize in one of the following areas: Chemical Biology; Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Science and Management.
4. Biological Science deals with the core areas of cell biology, genetics and molecular biology, anatomy, biochemistry and biology of growth. Students may study or choose to specialize in one of the following areas in the Honors Biological Science program: Environmental Toxicology; Life Sciences; Pharmaceutical Biotechnology; Science and Management. An Honours undergraduate degree in Biological Science also allows them to pursue graduate studies, including the university’s Master of Science program in Applied Biosciences.
5. Environmental Biology is a discipline that prepares students for leadership roles in the environmental field with the university's Biological Science program. The program offers an undergraduate course with a Bachelor of Science (Honors).
