The faculty offers 37 comprehensive programs in design, engineering technologies and skilled trades across a span of applied technology industries. It has a network of Centres of Innovation (COIs) that bring together interdisciplinary teams of faculty, students, and community and industry partners.

This department offers over 50 programs covering more than a dozen fields with a broad range of credentials that are reflective of the new business landscape. Entrepreneurship training is integrated into all programs. The Centre for Entrepreneurship, along with other highly specialized facilities and integrated work placements, is key to experiential learning. The Accounting Centre is available to all students enrolled in Diploma, Degree, Certificate and Part-time programs in accounting.
The Humber Centre for Entrepreneurship will connect students to The Start-Up Stop: Entrepreneurship Skills Based Training Program, Sprout: Intrapreneurship Skills Based Training Program, Ment2Lead mentorship program, Launch Me program and pitch competition, and to many other valuable resources.
The Trading Floor is a working lab situated at the Lakeshore Campus and allows students to simulate real-life equities exchange scenarios. The Faculty of Business offers five special awards. Each award requires the applicant to submit an essay. The faculty has a number of programs with a mandatory work placement component.
The Faculty lays emphasis on technological innovation, diversity and integrated community and clinical industry collaborations and has state-of-the-art facilities. Humber's Bioscience lab is equipped with anatomical models, embedded and wet human specimenpy Clinic, Pharmacy Technician Lab, OTA and PTA lab among others. It has small classes and expert faculty. Clinical simulations, cadaveric bioscience labs, experiential learning and comprehensive work placements allow students to participate in a wide range of experiences and enhance their understanding of anatomical relationships and physiological principles – including ‘wet labs’.
It also has a Biotechnology lab and a Clinical Simulation Learning Centre. It has a Massage Thera. There is on-campus student support and connections with the Canadian Nurses Association and APA Assistance. Students in the Traditional Chinese Medicine program learn and work in the Tzu Clinic of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Massage Therapy students learn and work in an on-campus clinic, while ECE learners have access to Child Development and Resource Centres.
This faculty offers courses in English, Professional Communications, Math, Literature, Social Sciences, Humanities, Science, and many. In the General Arts and Science programs, students begin their postsecondary education in disciplines that are at the core of a polytechnic education. The Humber English Language Centre supports the teaching and learning of English as a second language for personal, professional and academic purposes.
Programs offered at the ELC are accredited by TESL Canada, TESL Ontario and Languages Canada. The Academic Upgrading (AU) program is an Employment Ontario program funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities. Work Integrated Learning Opportunities are also available.
This department will help students specialise in all forms of storytelling. There are live Labs, regular performances, and ongoing work-integrated learning. The Community Music School is a fee-for-service outreach program for children and youth aged 3 to 18. The program offers Saturday music classes from September to June through Humber College’s Music Department, School of Creative and Performing Arts, Lakeshore Campus, Toronto. There is a new centre for creative and business collaboration at the Humber College Faculty of Media & Creative Arts: BuildingF (formerly the AdCentre). Students meet with the client to understand the project and creative brief.
Projects may include social, digital and/or print focus. Humber Et Cetera is the Humber College journalism program laboratory newspaper. Et Cetera won awards in the CSPA’s Collegiate Gold Circle Awards, OCNA Better Newspapers Competitions and in the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Awards. Students from The Media Studies Journalism programs gain valuable real world experience in this LiveLab. The Faculty of Media & Creative Arts HD TV Mobile is a multi-camera television facility used for remote broadcast television production. It offers a “real-world” broadcast production experience for students, using “state-of-the-art” equipment found in similar industry facilities. The Humber Art Commons, located at Lakeshore Campus on Lakeshore Blvd, acts as a hub for art students.
It was launched as a live lab to provide students with a creative space to explore and discover new techniques. The open concept allows for a modern studio space flooded by natural light. The space has been modelled on the general concept of transformability. Humber Advertising Account Management (AAM) professors are award-winning and industry-recognized. Sheila Walsh, a faculty member, a prominent member of the Toronto’s voiceover industry and can be heard on local stations such as CFRB; and Paul Cross, a noted newsperson who has worked with CHUM, Canadian Press, and is now at CFRB.
The Faculty of Social and Community Services offers specialized education and training for students who want to pursue a career to make a change in the society. Some of the graduates hold the prestigious positions of Chiefs of Police, Executive Directors, Premier Award Winners and Members of Government. With over 800 community partners and some of the most comprehensive work-integrated opportunities, students can connect with fellow students, alumni and professionals in the field.
Humber students are also given a chance to complete program work placements in Canada or abroad. The faculty hosts many events to provide students with the opportunity to learn about various career fields to explore different areas of interest and connect with employers and alumni.
The department houses Centre for Justice Leadership, Court of Justice, Therapeutic play lab, crime scene lab, forensic studio, driving slim lab and conflict resolution slim lab. Humber’s strength in social innovation focuses on community development.The Faculty of Social & Community Services provides leadership in cross-college social innovation activities in collaboration with community and industry partners.
