The University of Windsor is a public research university in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It is Canada's southernmost university, founded in the year 1963.

University of Windsor Location and Campus Life

Located in Canada's traditional "automotive capital" across the border from Detroit, the campus is near the United States and its busy port of entry to and from the United States. It is framed by the Ambassador Bridge to the west and the Detroit River to the north. The campus covers 51 hectares (130 acres) (contiguous), surrounded by a residential neighbourhood and is approximately a 10-minute drive from downtown Windsor as well as downtown Detroit.

The Leddy Library is the main campus library in the University of Windsor. It is named in the honour of John Francis Leddy, former president of the University of Windsor. The Paul Martin Law Library serves the Faculty of Law. The University of Windsor has over 2,800 parking spaces on campus. Access to these lots is controlled by parking permits, meters and gates during enforcement hours (Every day from 7 am to 11 pm).

The nearest airports to the university are Toronto Pearson International Airport and Vancouver International Airport. The Windsor International Airport has domestic flights from Windsor, Canada and is located 14km from the centre of the university.
