Thompson Rivers University (TRU) has been providing quality education in various fields in British Columbia, Canada, for the past 45 years. TRU was founded as Cariboo college in 1970 and became a university college in 1989. TRU holds the success of their students as their foremost priority. The main campuses of TRU are Kamloops and Williams Lake campuses located at the southern interior of British Columbia. Other regional centers are located at 100 Mile House, Clearwater, Barriere, Ashcroft, and Lillooet.
Kamloops is the main campus of TRU and is located in the southwest slopes. The campus offers academic services and other student services including bookstores, booking spaces like meeting rooms, halls, indoor and outdoor spaces, on-campus housing, childcare, career services, academic advising center, clinic, and Health and Wellness center.
TRU’s Williams Lake campus is located on the lands of the T’exelc also called Williams Lake Indian Band situated within the Northern Shuswap people’s traditional territory. It is a friendly campus and has a qualified faculty. The cost of living in Williams Lake is low when compared to Kamloops.

TRU provides numerous facilities including medical clinics, wellness centers, multi-faith chaplaincy, bookstores, and childcare. The technology-related facilities provided by TRU are multimedia classrooms, student remote access, student network accounts, equipment loan out like PA systems, microphones and LCD TV/computer, student wireless access through eduroam wireless and TRU wireless systems.
The main library is situated in the Kamloops campus with an additional library on Williams Lake campus. Both libraries have a huge collection of books and journals in both paper and digital versions. The TRU Library has over 250,000 volumes of books, 12,000 films and videos, 105 online article databases. It also houses more than 120,000 ebooks and holds more than 34,000 electronic and print periodical subscriptions.

TRU offers on-campus residence options at the Kamloops campus. The residing options include an 11-storey residence tower called the North Tower, a dorm-style 4-bedroom residence called McGill Residence and apartment-style 2 and 4 bedroom furnished spaces at EastHill.
The on-campus residence services include housing study rooms, lounges, cooking, housekeeping, parking, bike storage, and laundry facilities in addition to a comfortable and safe living and learning environment. TRU's student's union supports students with off-campus housing.

TRU offers scholarships, bursaries and awards for students every year. TRU owes it to the foundation, volunteers, and the generous donations offered by the individuals, businesses and community organizations.
