Rescheduling and Cancellation Fees

To reschedule or cancel your IELTS test, you should contact the test center where you originally booked your test slot. Here's a breakdown of the IELTS cancellation and rescheduling process in simpler terms:

 

Situation 1: If you change your test date or cancel it more than 5 weeks before the exam, you'll get a partial refund after deducting administrative fees.

 

Situation 2: If you make changes or cancel within 5 weeks of the exam, you'll be charged the full test fee, and there will be no refund.

Situation 3: However, there are exceptions:

 

• 
  If you have a valid medical condition (serious illness, injury, bereavement, hardship, trauma, or military service) and can provide a medical certificate within 5 days of the exam, you may receive a partial refund after administrative fees.
• 
  In case you can't attend due to circumstances beyond your control, like a transport strike, the test center may offer you the next available IELTS slot.

Test Center Rules

• 
  You must bring your original passport or a National ID that matches your registration details, and it should have a passport number, your signature, date of birth, and a photograph.
• 
  The IELTS test centers will provide necessary stationery and rough sheets.
• 
  Keep your phones and electronic devices outside the exam room, and ensure they are switched off.
• 
  Avoid bringing valuable items to the test center.
• 
  Notify the test supervisor about any computer issues or discrepancies.
• 
  Food and drinks are not allowed inside the test room.
• 
  You can't bring a watch, regardless of its type, to any IELTS exam center in India.
