Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy

To reschedule or cancel your IELTS test, log in to your candidate profile on the official IDP IELTS India website and raise your request online. The policy below is directly sourced from the official IDP IELTS India transfer and cancellation page.

 

For IELTS on Paper / IELTS on Computer (Academic & General Training):

 

• 
  You can reschedule or cancel your test only if the test date is at least 9 days away from the date of your request.
• 
  Both transfer and cancellation requests require submission of supporting documents and are subject to approval.
• 
  After cancellation is approved, the refund is processed within 7–10 business days, after deduction of administrative charges.

 

For IELTS on Paper for UKVI / IELTS on Computer for UKVI / IELTS Life Skills:

Test Center Rules

As per the official IDP IELTS India test day guidelines:

 

• 
  Bring your original passport or valid national ID matching your registration details, it must include a passport number, your signature, date of birth, and a photograph. You will not be permitted to take the test without the correct ID.
• 
  The test centre provides all stationery. For paper-based IELTS, only a black ballpoint pen is used; this has been mandatory since February 22, 2025. Pencils are not permitted.
• 
  Watches of any type are not allowed inside the test room. A clock will be visible on the wall inside the room.
• 
  All personal belongings including mobile phones and electronic devices must be kept outside the test room, switched off.
• 
  Eating, drinking, and smoking are not permitted inside the examination hall.
• 
  Once you enter the test room, you may not lend or borrow anything from another candidate.
• 
  You may not use a dictionary, spell-checker, electronic recorder, or mobile phone during the test.
• 
  Cheating, copying another candidate's work, or disrupting the test in any way is strictly prohibited.
• 
  You may not take test papers, answer sheets, or any test materials out of the examination room.
• 
  You may not leave the examination room without permission from a supervisor.
• 
  If you experience any issue during the test including illness raise your hand immediately and notify the supervisor.

 

Failure to follow any of the above rules may result in your test result being withheld, and any institution nominated to receive your results will be notified.
