In India, you can register for the GRE General Test through the online method only. Here is step-by-step guidance on how to create your ETS account and register for the GRE General Test online:

Step 1: Visit the official ETS website and click on "Register/Sign In" to get started.

Step 2: Enter your email address and click on "Get Started" to begin creating your ETS account.

Step 3: Enter all the required details in the form, making sure your name matches your passport exactly.

Step 4: Set up your username and password.

Step 5: Review and submit the information you entered.

Step 6: You will receive a confirmation email about your account creation. Sign in to continue.

Step 7: Once signed in, click on "Register / Find Test Centers, Dates."

Step 8: Select the test you want to register for.

Step 9: After choosing the GRE General Test, you will be given the option to take the test at home or to find test centres near your location.

Step 10: Choose your preferred location and date.

Step 11: Once selected, click on "Show Test Times," then click on "Register."

The process to register for the GRE at Home is the same as above — the only difference is that at the test-selection step, you choose the "Test at Home" option, and the rest of the steps remain identical. There is no difference in the registration fee whether you take the test at home or at a centre.
