Admission at the University of Maryland is offered through two major intakes which are Fall and Spring. There are more than 200 programs spread across 12 schools and colleges. For graduate programs, there is no minimum GPA set; however, a minimum GPA of 3.0, which is 85 percent, is recommended for admission to graduate courses. Extra qualifications may be required for more premium programs, such as previous research, work experience, proficiency in programming languages, or writing samples or essays.

 

For the MBA, admissions are conducted in five rounds, from October to March of the following year. GMAT and GRE scores are optional but most candidates include these scores to improve their chances of admission. Previously, students have shown a GMAT score between 560-690 or about 310 on a GRE or more.
