Scholarships Offered by the Government

1. Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship for International Students

This scholarship is offered by the Australian Government to international students pursuing a Masters or Doctorate in Australia. Some details regarding the scholarship are as follows:

• Given to students pursuing an Australian Masters or Ph.D.
• The scholarship amount includes Up to $30,000 of tuition fee. It also includes travel allowance of up to AU$3,000, a stipend of AU$3,000 per month and health and travel insurance. 

2. International PG Research Scholarship Award

This scholarship is given by the Australian Government to international students who undertake a postgraduate research qualification in Australia. Some details regarding the scholarship are as follows:

• The scholarship covers the entire tuition fees of the course as well as the health cover costs for the scholarship holders, and for their dependents. 
• Applicants for this scholarship must meet the minimum English language Proficiency requirement and have first-class honor or equivalent in their previous course. 

3. CSIRO PG Scholarship Programme

This scholarship is given by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization – Australia’s national science research agency- to “outstanding graduates who enroll each year at Australian tertiary institutions”. Some details regarding the scholarship are as follows:

• CSIRO awards up to 50 scholarships for various projects.
• It is given to students who have been given admission to a Doctorate program at an Australian University. 
• International students must also be able to meet the requirements laid down by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship policy. 

Scholarships Offered by Leading Universities

1. Australian Catholic University International Student Scholarship

This scholarship is given to incoming international students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, who have demonstrated excellent academic merit in preceding studies. This scholarship is awarded by The Australian Catholic University and it gives 20 of these scholarships each year. Some other details regarding this scholarship are as follows. 

• Given to first-year international students, this scholarship is given to a student studying for any full-time degree at ACU.
• The scholarship amount is equal to 50% of the Tuition Fee. 
• Students desirous of applying for this scholarship must have received at least 80% or a score that is equivalent to CGPA 5.8 on the 7 point ASU scale. Undergraduate applicants must have got this score in their previous study, which must have been completed within the last 2 years. For postgraduate applicants, this score must have been achieved in their previous study, which must have been completed within the last 4 years.
• Students applying for this scholarship must not be receiving any other scholarship or financial award – the total sum value of which exceeds the tuition fees.
• This scholarship is not valid for Exchange students or students under the “Study Abroad” program.
• Applicants must apply online when the application window of the scholarship opens. 

2. Peter Faber Business School Postgraduate Scholarship

The Peter Faber Business School Postgraduate Scholarship is meant for students enrolled in any postgraduate program at the Peter Faber Business School, Australian Catholic University. Some details related to this scholarship are as follows:

• This scholarship is open to international students who are enrolled full-time in a postgraduate program at the School of Business of ACU.
• Students applying for this scholarship must not be receiving any other scholarship or financial award from the government or ACU.
• The scholarship amount is $10,000 and is given every year .
• This scholarship is given only to those students who have a previous academic result of 70% or more.
• There is no formal application for this scholarship. The information given in your application form for admission to the postgraduate program will be assessed by the university and eligible students will be informed.

3. Monash International Merit Scholarship

This scholarship is given by Monash University to international students enrolled with the University. Some details related to this scholarship are as follows:

• The university offers 31 scholarships every year
• The total scholarship value is up to AUS $50,000. 
• The scholarship is given to students based on their academic performance. 

4. Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship

Melbourne University gives this scholarship to highly meritorious international students who are enrolled with the University. Some details related to this scholarship are as follows:

• No application is required for this scholarship. All students are considered for it.
• The scholarship ether includes a 100% or 50% fee waiver for the three year duration of an undergraduate degree or $10,000 tuition fee remission in the 1st year of an undergraduate degree. 

5. Dr. Abdul Kalam International Postgraduate Scholarship

The University of Sydney offers this scholarship to international students pursuing a Full-time Masters course in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies at the University. Some details related to this scholarship are as follows:

• Students who have achieved distinction in their undergraduate study can apply for this scholarship.
• Applicants should not have any other scholarship from the University
• The scholarship value includes 50% of the tuition fee for one year. 

6. School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences Indian Scholarship

The University of Queensland gives this scholarship to Indian students pursuing a Masters program at the School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences. Some details about the scholarship are as follows:

• The scholarship tenure is during the duration of the course.
• The scholarship amount includes 50% of the tuition fee value 
• Students who have got 75% or more in their undergraduate program can apply for this scholarship.

7. ANU- Study Canberra India Scholarship

This scholarship is given by Australian National University to Indian Students admitted to the undergraduate or postgraduate program at ANU. Some details about the scholarship are as follows:

• Applicants must have demonstrated excellent academic proficiency in their preceding coursework
• The scholarship amount is AUS $10,000. 

8. Griffith Remarkable Scholarship 

This is given by Griffith University to Exceptional international students who have applied for undergraduate or postgraduate coursework at the University. Some details about the scholarship are as follows:

• The Scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees for the duration of the program.
• Students have to apply for the scholarship before the last date. 
• Students must be enrolled in a full-time program to receive this scholarship. 

9. Swinburne International Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship

Swinburne University gives this scholarship to international students who meet the following criteria:

• Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate program (“except the Bachelor of Aviation and Piloting, and the Bachelor of Aviation and Piloting/Bachelor of Business double degree”) at the University. 
• The Scholarship amount is Up to $38,000 for the entire duration of the bachelor degree
• Applicants must not be currently enrolled at the University.
