Scholarship for Indian Students in Australia

The article will guide you about the government as well as non-government and partial and full tuition scholarships for international students in Australia.

1. Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship International Applicants -

It is offered to the international students pursuing Masters and Doctoral programs.

2. Research Training Program (RTP) -

The scheme supports candidates undertaking Research Masters and Research Doctorate degrees known as higher degrees by research (HDRs).

  • list items Value - Full-time stipend of $27,596 for the year 2019 (the rate differs every year) for one of the following reasons - tuition fee offset, general living cost or allowances for the ancillary cost of research degrees.

3. CSIRO Postgraduate Scholarship Program - 

Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) Postgraduate scholarship program offers support to deserving science and engineering students enrolled in full time postgraduate programs in Australian Tertiary institutions. 

  • list items Value -Top-up scholarship worth $7,000 per annum with operating budget worth $10,000 per year. In some cases, full scholarship can also be available. Up to 50 scholarships are available for projects.

4. CSIRO Data61 Scholarship Program -

It is one of the Ph.D. scholarships in Australia that offers two types of awards - Data61 Ph.D. Scholarship and Data61 top-up scholarship to the selected candidates. 

  • list items Value - Data61 Ph.D. comprises of full stipend, while Data61 top-up scholarship provides additional support if you are receiving the university/government/third-party funded scholarship. Your letter of offer will contain the benefits you will be getting which can be only Ph.D. scholarship, only top-up scholarship or both Ph.D. and top-up scholarships.
  • list items Duration - Up to a maximum of 3.5 years.
  • list items Eligibility - You should have received First Class Honors Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in respective research areas. You should have granted admission for a full-time research doctorate program at an Australian University signatory to the Data61 University Collaboration Agreement (DUCA). Must include a Data61-employed researcher in the supervisory panel. Should sign the Data61 Student Scholarship Agreement (SSA) to assign the intellectual property created during the Ph.D. assignment to Data61. Carry out research aligned with Data61’s business development teams /research programs and supervisory capabilities. Should try to avail other government/university scholarships simultaneously. Should not already hold a Ph.D.

5. International Water Centre Scholarships for international students in Australia -

It covers full tuition and full living cost. 

  • list items Value - AU$92,645 and covers complete full-time tuition fees for Master of Integrated Water Management, return air travel expenses to Australia, living expenses, university amenities fee, overseas student health cover, and student visa cost.

  • list items Eligibility -  You should be a citizen of the participating country (India is one of the participating countries). You should have completed your undergraduate degree from a globally recognized institution. You should fulfill the English language proficiency requirements. Minimum of two years of professional experience.
