We invite all our customers to a short interview, and a few of them are kind enough to oblige. This is sixth in the series of such interviews.

Sprinkles

1. What were you doing before you decided to study abroad?

Before deciding to study abroad, I was working at Aon as an Analyst.

Sprinkles

 2. What motivated you to pursue your course abroad?

There were a lot of factors that motivated me to go for higher studies from a foreign university. The primary motivation was my failure during my B.Tech and my job.

Sprinkles

 3. How did you shortlist colleges for applying?

My goal was to study coursework relevant to my future prospects instead of looking for a big city with fancy universities. So, I shortlisted the universities from cities like Salt Lake City, Charlotte considering factors such as low cost of living, excellent environment for studies, fastest emerging cities in creating jobs.

 5. Which services (online / education consultants/networks) did you use at different stages during your application process?

I used the Yocket a lot for consulting as well as networking. I met Jainesh in one of the meets up of Yocket, and that really helped me a lot.

6. How was your experience at your university? Will you recommend this course to your juniors?

I had a wonderful experience at The University of Utah. Overall, The University of Utah is a good university. Some of the departments are outstanding, but some are average or slightly below average. For Example, It’s a Tier 1 university in the research field, but if you want to pursue a degree in humanities and social sciences, it is not that good.

Sprinkles

7. Have you finished your course? If so, what is your next pursuit?

I have finished my course. Currently, I am working as a Data Scientist in a Bank.

Sprinkles

8. What advice can you offer to your juniors to improve their chances of finding the internship/job of their choice?

THIS IS REALLY A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION
I was a mentor for International Students at my Department, so I think this is a very subjective question. It totally depends upon the student's background, area of study, and future goals. I will be happy to talk about this in detail.

12. How was your overall experience at GyanDhan? Did you face any problem during the loan application, and if so, how GyanDhan assisted in redressing the issue?

Excellent!!! Initially, I faced a lot of problems to get my loan sanctioned. Gyandhan did an excellent job to get it sanctioned.

Sprinkles

13. Would you recommend us to your juniors for education loans? If yes, then why?

Yes, Of course. Gyandhan was very proactive, and they took my case very closely and fast.

14. Having experienced the whole process yourself, would you like to add anything else or give a piece of advice for future students?

I always say this to all the future students coming to study abroad -

Congratulations on getting an admit. You did it, and your hard work paid off. You will be a graduate student from one of the best universities. It looks fancy, it looks lavish, and it will look so green to everyone. But the truth is, it’s just the beginning of the journey of not only your success but can also be a road to your failure. It totally depends on you, and only you will decide which way you want to go. We all are here to help you, but before expecting help from others, you must make sure that you help yourself first. There will be a hard day, and there will be a sleepless night.
All you have to make sure is nothing is permanent, so be patient, control your nerves, and wait for it.
