Seneca admits new students three times a year - Fall (September), Winter (January), and Summer (May) as not every program runs in every intake. As a publicly-assisted institution, Seneca admits domestic applicants before international ones, so spaces fill quickly and applying early matters. Bachelor's Degrees four-year honours degrees in fields such as Software Development, Cybersecurity, Business, Aviation Technology, and Child Development, with work-integrated learning built in.
Diplomas & Advanced Diplomas two- and three-year programs across business, engineering technology, health, applied arts, and community services, many with co-op options.

Seneca Polytechnic International Students Criteria
Undergraduate academic requirement: Completion of secondary school (Class 12) for diploma and degree programs; degree programs are more competitive, typically expecting strong Class 12 results (often around 65%+). Some programs have specific subject prerequisites (e.g. Mathematics for technology programs).
Graduate certificate requirement: A completed college diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field; some programs require a credential assessment (e.g. WES).
English proficiency (undergraduate): IELTS Academic 6.0 overall (no band below 5.5), or TOEFL iBT 80, or PTE Academic 58, or Duolingo 105.
English proficiency (postgraduate): IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0), or TOEFL iBT 88, or PTE Academic 60, or Duolingo 115.
Exemptions: Applicants from certain English-speaking countries may be exempt from submitting English test scores.
Supporting documents: Academic transcripts (Class 10, 11, 12 and any post-secondary records), proof of English proficiency, and program-specific items such as a portfolio or statement of purpose where required.
Application: International students apply through Seneca's International Web Application (or OCAS); the CAD 90 application fee is credited back to the student account after enrolment.
Study permit: After confirming an offer and paying the tuition deposit (minimum CAD 2,000), students receive a Letter of Acceptance and Provincial Attestation Letter (where applicable) to apply for a Canadian study permit.
Seneca Polytechnic Scholarships
Seneca offers international students an automatic entrance scholarship plus additional merit and degree-specific awards. Most international applicants qualify for the entrance scholarship without a separate application.
1. Seneca Entrance Scholarship for International Students
Up to CAD 5,000, awarded automatically to eligible international students starting a full-time program in May 2026, September 2026, or January 2027.
Amount scales with program length: CAD 2,000 (1-year), CAD 3,000 (2-year), CAD 4,000 (3-year), up to CAD 5,000 (4-year degrees).
No separate application; an application-fee credit is also included.
2. Renewable Degree Scholarship
For students in three- and four-year bachelor's degree programs, renewable across years of study.
Can be combined with the international entrance scholarship.
3. Diploma-to-Degree Scholarship
For students progressing from a Seneca diploma into a degree program; stackable with the entrance scholarship.
4. Merit & Program-Specific Awards
Faculty- and program-specific entrance awards and in-course scholarships based on academic performance.
5. Bursaries & Financial Aid
Need-based bursaries and emergency financial support for enrolled students.
6. On-Campus Work & Co-op Earnings
