UWA Intakes and Deadlines

UWA admits international students in two main intakes - Semester 1 (February) and Semester 2 (July) with most undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs in the February intake and a smaller selection in July. Applications use country-specific deadlines: India and several other countries fall in an earlier deadline cohort to allow for student-visa processing. A few programs (notably Medicine and Dentistry) admit only for Semester 1 and have separate, earlier deadlines. Indian and most international applicants apply directly through the UWA Application Portal or an authorised agent.

Intakes Deadline

Semester 1 (February 2027) – main intake

Applications open around September–November 2026; apply early as Indian-applicant deadlines fall 2 weeks before rest-of-world to allow visa processing

Semester 2 (July 2027)

Open on a rolling basis; smaller selection of programs, mainly postgraduate

UWA College pathway (October minor intake)

Foundation and diploma pathways, leading into UWA degrees

Competitive / selection programs (e.g. Medicine, Dentistry)

Semester 1 only; earlier fixed deadlines with extra steps such as admissions tests or interviews
