If they have not attended a college or university before, they must have one of the following certificates: Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), Council for Indian School Certificate (CISCE), or test results from grades X and XI of another examining board. They should also have completed the following subjects in high school: English, Mathematics (at least Algebra II), four math units including an advanced math course like pre-calculus, calculus, or trigonometry, Natural Science (with 3 lab classes), one course in US history for Social Science, a Foreign Language, and Electives from the areas of arts, humanities, or computer science.
