The major focuses on the research and experimental foundations of psychology.
Students will learn how psychologists ask and answer questions. This will help us understand how the brain affects our behavior, how our senses and minds perceive the world, and how we learn and remember.
There are four optional areas of study in the Psychology BA program:
Mental Health
Neuroscience
Child and Family Studies
Forensic Psychology
Students will gain a strong understanding of key ideas, theories, research findings, and the history of psychology.
Students will learn to use basic research methods in psychology, including how to design a study, analyze data, and interpret results.
Students will develop critical thinking skills and use a scientific approach to solve problems related to psychology.
Students will learn to apply psychological principles to tackle personal, social, and organizational challenges, while also focusing on social justice.
