Princeton University Application Process

Step 1: Prepare Documents for Application

Applicants need to submit two teacher recommendations from different academic areas of study. It is recommended to choose teachers who have taught you in higher-level courses.

Step 2: Submit Additional Documents

• School Report (SR): Submit the SR form available in the application.
• Counselor Recommendation: Invite your guidance counselor or academic adviser to complete this section.
• Mid-year School Report: Ask your guidance counselor or other school officials to complete and submit this form when mid-year grades are available.
• Test Scores: Submit your SAT or ACT score reports and English Language Proficiency scores.
• Arts Form: If applying to the Architecture program, submit the Arts Form.

For students applying to the arts program, you will need to answer short questions on the following topics:

• Activities: Briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences that was meaningful to you. (Response required in about 150 words.)
• Summers: Describe how you have spent the last two summers, including any jobs you have held. (Response required in about 150 words.)
• Share details about your favorite book and its author, your favorite website, and your favorite recording.
