Cardiac sonographers, also known as echocardiographers, use ultrasound imaging to find and diagnose heart diseases.

Vascular sonographers understand the arteries and veins in the body, helping them spot changes in anatomy and function.

Nova Southeastern University combines both specialties into one sonography degree program, giving students a better chance in the job market.

While many other programs focus on only one area, NSU’s Bachelor of Science in Cardiovascular Sonography teaches students the skills they need to excel in both fields.

12th Grade

Students must have completed high school with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.

Graduation

To graduate, students need a minimum of 30 semester credits, which includes: 6 credits in Physical/Human/Biological Science, 6 credits in Social and Behavioral Sciences, 6 credits in Humanities, 6 credits in English Composition, and 6 credits in College Math above the 1040 level. All courses must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 to be eligible for transfer.

TOEFL

Marks: 79.0

Students must score a minimum of 79 out of 120 on the TOEFL test.

IELTS

Marks: 6.0

Students need to take the IELTS test and score at least 6 out of 9.

DUOLINGO

Marks: 105.0

Students need to score at least 105 out of 160 on the Duolingo English Test.

PTE

Marks: 54.0
