Step 1: Prepare Documents for Application

Letters of Recommendation (LOR): Two teacher evaluations are needed. Request two teachers from different academic subjects who know you well to complete the Teacher Recommendation forms, which include an evaluation form and a letter of recommendation.

Essays: A personal essay is required. Choose one of the following topics:

• Discuss a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful your application would be incomplete without it. Share your story.
• Describe a challenge, setback, or failure you faced. How did it affect you, and what did you learn?
• Reflect on a time you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?
• Share an experience where someone made you happy or thankful in a surprising way. How has this gratitude affected or motivated you?
• Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others.
• Describe a topic, idea, or concept that captivates you. Why does it engage you? Who or what do you turn to for more information?
• Submit an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one you've already written, one that responds to a different prompt, or one of your own design.

Supplement: Includes five required short-answer questions, each with a 150-word limit:

• Briefly describe any extracurricular activities, employment, travel, or family responsibilities that have shaped who you are.

• Top 3 things your roommates might like to know about you.
