Engineering Science is a major that combines different fields. It helps students build a strong foundation in math, science, and engineering basics. At the same time, they can explore the liberal arts or other subjects that interest them. This prepares them for specific careers or further studies.

This major offers a complete undergraduate education in engineering areas that traditional programs at Colorado State University (CSU) do not cover. Students can choose from three concentrations: Engineering Physics, Space Engineering, and Teacher Education. There are also two dual-degree options that combine Engineering Science with programs in the College of Liberal Arts. No matter which path they choose, graduates are ready for professional careers.

The Engineering Science program aims to prepare graduates to:

• Use engineering design to create solutions that meet specific needs while considering public health, safety, and the well-being of society, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with different audiences.
• Understand ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering and make informed choices, keeping in mind the effects of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and social contexts.
• Work well in a team, providing leadership, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, setting goals, planning tasks, and achieving objectives.
• Plan and conduct experiments, analyze data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
• Learn and apply new knowledge as needed, using suitable learning strategies.

12th Grade

There is no specific cutoff mentioned. Applicants must have completed high school. You should convert your percentage to GPA to check eligibility.
