Application Process for Adelphi University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need one or more letters from a school/college counselor, teacher, or school-based administrator. Letters from other people, like a volunteer coordinator, can also be accepted.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Official Records: Submit your secondary school or university records directly to Adelphi University. You must provide one set of records in your native language and another set translated into English. It is your responsibility to submit and translate all required documents and fees. Photocopies are not accepted unless they have an official school stamp or seal.
• Personal Statement: Write a personal statement or essay of 500 words or less. You can respond to one of the provided questions or choose your own topic. If needed, you may submit a report or paper you have written during the current school year.
• SAT Scores: Submit your SAT scores if required.
• Proof of English Proficiency: Provide proof of your English skills.
• Suggested Supplemental Items: You may include a resume that shows your employment, volunteer work, or other activities.

Step Four: Application Fees

• Application Fee: The fee is USD 40, which is approximately INR 3.37 thousand.
• Mode of Payment: You can pay using a credit card.
• Payment Plans: Students can choose a two-payment plan for each semester. Half of the balance, along with a $60 fee for the payment plan, is due by August 1 for the fall semester or January 6 for the spring semester. The final payment is due on October 15 or March 15.
• Adelphi also offers a monthly Tuition Payment Plan, allowing you to pay in monthly installments. There is a $50 nonrefundable application fee payable to Tuition Pay.
